Team Overview & Roster

Last years Lions faced injury and adversity to reach an 18-16 overall and 7-7 conference record with wins over the likes of Gonzaga, Notre Dame, USC, and Portland. They made it to the semifinals of the WCC tournament to face Gonzaga. It was the Zags first game of the tourney after a two game by, and the Lions third game in three days after not having earned a by. Even so, the Lions gave the fresh Gonzaga team all they could handle.

This years team returns the core group of Lions that led the team to it's best record and first win over a ranked team since 1990 featuring Drew Viney, Vernon Teel, Larry Davis, Jared Dubois, and many other similar faces with great talent. Also, the Lions have returned several key players from medical red shirts, like 6'10 center from Compton, Edgar Garibay. Furthermore, the Lions have added significant depth to their roster with some of the nation's most highly sought after recruits such as Ayodeji Egbeyemi from Nigeria, Anthony Ireland from Connecticut, and Godwin Okonji another player from Nigeria.
